YogaPoser - Overview

What if I miss a class?
Our experience has been that no one training schedule works for everybody, so we have made accommodations for people that can't attend some classes. If you miss any classes, you can choose one of three options for making them up.

The first option is that you take the missed classes free of charge the next time we offer the training. Check with us to see when the next training will be offered in your area. Typically, we begin a training within two weeks of the previous one ending.

The 2nd option is to take the missed class online. We have a limited, but growing number of lessons online. Check with us to see if the lesson(s) you missed can be completed online. This is also offered without additional cost to attendees of the course.

Another way to make up missed classes is to have a private tutoring lesson with a teacher trainer. The cost for a private lesson is $100 per hour and in that hour we can usually cover about 5 hours of instruction. This cost can be shared, if you wish, with other students that missed the same material.

Since this training material is organized and presented to be taught in a group setting, you will get the most out of it if you are present at as many sessions as possible. Therefore, we limit the number of hours that can be made up through one of the above options to 15 total class hours. If you expect that you will have to miss more than 15 hours of class, consider the 2-Semester Track or the A La Carte Option. Explanation of these options can be found on the Training Menu pages.

As with all YogaPoser Teacher Training classes, all the reading and lecture materials are available online prior to any class.

We understand that things happen that keep you from attending all classes. It is important to us that we are able to be flexible and attentive to your needs. So, if these options aren't perfect for you, contact us to discuss alternatives.

Will we practice every time?
No. There are 2-3 practices per weekend, never more than one per day. The practice schedule can be found on the full schedule, which you can view here.

What if I do not feel well enough to practice?
We do not encourage you to practice when it isn’t right for you, for whatever reason. When appropriate, you can observe the class instead of taking part in it. Just talk to the teacher before class and let them know what is going on.

What is the tuition? When do I have to pay it?
There are 3 options for tuition, depending on which pace you choose for your training. They are: Fast Track, 2-Semester Track, and A La Carte. You can find the details, including tuition, on theTraining Menu on our website.

How do I apply?
Application approval is required for any person wishing to take our course to become a yoga teacher. To apply and learn about payment options,Apply here.
